Workforce Adjustment at IRCC
Since the announcement of WFA at IRCC, Local 522 organizers and members have been mobilizing to hold the employer accountable to the WFA Directive, enforce our rights, and prevent as many involuntary departures from the public service as possible.
On March 26th 2025, we held a cross-unions rally to send the message to our employer and the incoming federal government that cuts to the public service weakens Canada!
Most importantly, we are not “functions”. We work hard everyday to bring critical services to Canadians and people residing in Canada.
